We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Hospice Aide to provide personal care and supportive services to patients in their homes. The Hospice Aide works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and plays a vital role in ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity for patients and their families.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provide direct patient care according to the established Plan of Care.

- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, nutrition, and mobility.

- Support safe transfers and ambulation.

- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.

- Report changes in patient condition to the supervising RN.

- Communicate respectfully and effectively with patients, families, and staff.

- Use and handle durable medical equipment as needed.

- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care.

- Follow infection control and safety procedures

- Uphold agency policies and professional standards.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

- High school diploma preferred.

- Completion of an approved training and competency Nurse Aide program.

- Current state certification as a Nurse Aide (TX), Home Health Aide (OK)

- Current CPR certification.

- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance.

- At least one year of experience as a Hospice Aide, Nursing Assistant, or similar role preferred.


WORK ENVIRONMENT

- Care provided in patient homes under varying conditions.

- Exposure to infectious diseases, blood, and bodily fluids possible.

- Requires local travel and ability to work a flexible schedule.

- May involve prolonged standing, walking, and lifting up to 50
